Student Airlifted After Being Hit By Car

VICTORVILLE:( A University Preparatory Student was struck by a vehicle on Thursday, September 10, 2015 just outside the school campus located on the 13000 block of Seneca Road, in Victorville.

Per scanner traffic, the young male student sustained a head abrasion and it appeared to “look pretty bad.”

The students were just getting out of school, when the vehicle struck the pedestrian in a designated pedestrian crossing just after 2:00 p.m.

The speed of the vehicle was not immediately known.

An airship was requested to transport the 12-year-old male to a trauma center. The designated landing zone was established at Hook Park.

The Principal Valerie Hatcher declined to comment on the incident, but was on scene with the patient.

More information will be updated as it becomes available.
