St. Mary’s in Apple Valley restricts visits amid coronavirus fears

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley has instituted a no visitor policy as the hospital takes extra precautions amid the coronavirus fears.
“To prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19 or exposing patients, their visitors and our caregivers, we instituted a no visitor policy. This allows us to promote safety, and conserve supplies needed to treat and control the spread of infectious disease,” read a statement published to the website.
During this time, patients and their loved ones are encouraged to communicate more through phone and video calls.
Hospital officials said they are monitoring the situation and will make changes to the visitation policy, as necessary. “We appreciate your help in keeping our patients, visitors and caregivers safe.”
