SPRING VALLEY LAKE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Spring Valley Lake residents are being advised of scheduled road work expected to last just over 2 weeks.
Roadcrews with the Department of Public Works will be working on Spring Valley Lake Parkway from Huerta Road to Driftwood Drive starting October 15 through November 2nd Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:30 pm.
The repairs are part of the chip seal work that will extend the life of the roadways. The chip seal treatment is applied by County forces and the process involves spreading oil onto the roadway to seal it and applying gravel chips that provide a wearing surface.
The application of a “fog” seal upon completion of the chip application will improve bonding of the material to the roadway and improve appearance.
During the fog seal, hard road closures will be in effect with no access for up to two hours in the area of the fog seal.
Motorist are advised to expect delays during the project with lane closures with detours periodically throughout the day. There will also be an increase in the number of trucks in the construction area.
Electronic message boards are up to notify residents of the work. If you have any questions please call 909-387-8063.
