Sofia Adams Murder Remains Unsolved 2 Years Later

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Two years have passed with no arrest made since the senseless murder of a then 20-year-old Sofia Vivianna Adams.

Adams was found shot to death inside her Victorville apartment in the 15500 block of Hesperia Road on June 9, 2015.

A week before her murder, Sofia had graduated from High School and was overjoyed with her accomplishment. According to family, Sofia had recently moved into the small apartment and was excited to start a new chapter in life with her son.

Witnesses at the scene told Victor Valley News, her then 3-year-old son was found wandering around the outside of her apartment. Upon returning the child back to his home that’s when the gruesome discovery was made.

Despite new leads announced by detectives in December of 2015, a motive for her slaying has not been released and no one has been arrested.

“Two years gone, in the blink of an eye and still no one has been arrested. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about you and mourn your loss. Two years that your little boy has been growing and changing without you. Two years that your family and friends have spent missing you. Two years that you could have been fulfilling your dreams” described a post shared today on the Justice For Sofia Facebook page.

Sofia’s family refuses to treat her murder as just another “cold case”. They have not given up hope that one day her killer(s) will be brought to justice.

“This is a very difficult time, especially since no arrests have been made, however, we are confident, that whoever took her life will be caught, and we can have closure. SOFIA will have justice,” said her father Frank Adams Sr.
