ONTARIO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Snowline Joint Unified School District is celebrating a major statewide honor after Serrano High School staff member Jennifer Connor was named the recipient of the FFA Star Support Staff Member Award at the 98th Annual California FFA (Future Farmers of America) State Leadership Conference in Ontario.
The award, presented during the four-day California FFA Association conference, recognizes exceptional dedication to student success in agricultural education across the state.
According to Snowline JUSD, Connor was selected from a statewide pool of nominees, with the recognition reflecting her continued support of students, leadership in agricultural education, and impact on the Serrano High School community.
Her behind-the-scenes work helps students access opportunities that build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare them for future success.

“We are incredibly proud of Jennifer,” Serrano High School Principal Lisa Hansen said. “Her passion for students and dedication to excellence truly embody what makes Serrano High School special. She leads with heart, purpose, and a deep commitment to helping students succeed.”
The California FFA State Leadership Conference brings together thousands of high school students and educators involved in Career Technical Education, also known as CTE. While FFA is widely associated with agriculture, the organization also supports leadership development, public speaking, problem solving, entrepreneurship, and technical training in fields including water management, welding, and crop science.
Snowline JUSD said programs like FFA rely on committed educators and support staff such as Connor to help bring those student experiences to life.
At Serrano High School, nearly 50% of students, or more than 1,412 individuals, are enrolled in a CTE pathway, according to the district. Those programs include agriculture, welding, public safety, health sciences, and other career-focused areas designed to connect classroom learning with hands-on experience.

Snowline JUSD said those pathways help students build practical skills, industry knowledge, and confidence as they prepare for employment or continued education after graduation.
The district said Connor’s recognition also highlights the work of its broader CTE team and the success of students participating in those programs.
“At Snowline JUSD, we are committed to our mission to Educate. Inspire. Prepare. Jennifer Connor exemplifies this mission through her dedication to students and her role in advancing high-quality CTE opportunities that truly change lives,” the district stated.
Snowline JUSD closed its announcement by congratulating Connor on the honor and recognizing the district’s CTE staff and students.
