VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The US National Weather Service is predicting a 40% chance of snowfall in the Cajon Pass and Victor Valley this weekend.
According to the NWS, the forecasted snowfall will start Friday night and snow levels will dip into Sunday Night.
In a Thursday afternoon Facebook post, the NWS said “snow levels will be much lower over the weekend and by Sunday, snow may even affect the busy mountain passes and the High Desert,” stated the agency.
The five-day forecast currently shows a 40% chance of snow showers for Victorville on Sunday. The forecasted low will be 28 degrees with a high of 45.
According to the latest NWS rainfall totals posted at about 3:00 pm, Victorville city received about 0.49 of an inch in rainfall over a 48 hour period, and Palomar, CA received an impressive 9.96 inches over the same period.
