Smoke shop on Main Street in Hesperia robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night

HESPERIA, Calif. ( — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Best Stop Smoke Shop in Hesperia Wednesday night.

At about 11:32 pm on September 19, 2019, deputies responded to the business in the 16100 block of Main Street reference an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Deputies learned four black male adults, one armed with a shotgun, entered the location and took cash and other items.

According to Edgar Moran – Sheriff’s Service Specialist with the Hesperia Station, the suspects took approximately $400 from the business as well as a personal bag belonging to one of the employees.

Deputies conducted an extensive area check for the suspects but were unable to locate them. The suspects fled northbound on 5th Avenue from Main Street.

Moran said deputies collected evidence at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hesperia Sheriff’s station at 760-947-1500.
