Single-vehicle crash in Apple Valley leaves one dead

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle traffic collision that left a woman dead early Sunday morning.
It happened on November 18, 2018, at about 2:25 am, in the area of State Highway 18 and Tao Road in Apple Valley.
According to a sheriff’s news release, “when deputies arrived on the scene, they determined a gray 1989 Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on State Highway 18 and for an unknown went off the roadway hitting a cement drainage culvert.”
The vehicle overturned and landed on its roof.
“Witnesses attempted to render aid to the driver of the Toyota, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and the victim died on scene,” stated a sheriff’s news release.
The collision is currently under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley Station. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Thomas Bechtol at 760-240-7400.
