Single Vehicle Collision Causing Widespread Power Outage

HESPERIA – (VVNG.com)- At 1:09 a.m., on Monday, November 24th, there was a report of a single vehicle traffic collision in the area of Escondido Avenue and Rodeo Street, just north of Ranchero Road. The report indicated that the single occupant of the vehicle, an approximately 25-30 year old male suffered from head injuries as a result of the collision.

The accident occurred when the white Chevrolet pick up truck for unknown reasons, left the roadway resulting into the vehicle crashing into a power pole then ultimately landing in the front yard of a nearby home stopped by a fence. The collision caused widespread outages in the area, some restored as early as 1:45 a.m. and others planned to be restored by 9:00 a.m.
The male subject suffered from head injuries, there were no other injuries reported. There is no information as to if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. The accident is under investigation and more information will be updated as it is received.
