Single Engine Plane Crash Reported; Two Deceased

UPDATE (5:36 p.m.): Two confirmed deceased, plane is still reported to be smouldering. Per scanner traffic, the ground in the area is wet from recent rainfall. Recovery is planned for Sunday, October 18th due to inclement weather.
JOSHUA TREE: (VVNG.com) – Per scanner reports, dispatch received a report of a plane down at approximately 4:30 P.M., on Saturday, October 17, 2015. According to those that hovered over the wreckage, there does not appear to be any survivors at this time. Crews landed and are currently assessing the situation at the crash site.
The plane is registered as a Piper PA-28R-180, a six-seater, fixed-wing ,single engine plane out of Santa Barbara, California. There is no information as to what may have caused the crash at this time and no details about who was on board the plane. More details will be updated as they become available.
