Sig Alert Issued Following Fatal Accident on Freeway

BARSTOW:(VVNG.com)- A multi vehicle traffic collision on the freeway has left one person dead on arrival and three others in critical condition.
The call was reported at 5:43 P.M., on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 on the southbound 15 freeway between Afton Canyon and north of Basin Road. The vehicles are reportedly in the middle lanes and blocking the #1, #2, and #3 lanes.
According to CHP incident logs, multiple people were ejected from a silver Dodge minivan. Two separate airships have been requested to transport the injured. The designated landing zone will be on the freeway.
The San Bernardino Coroners Department has been requested to respond to the location.
Per CHP logs, At 6:38 P.M., a hard road closure was issued for all southbound lanes. The Sig Alert is expected to remain in effect for 2-3 hours. Vehicles are being diverted through the center divider.
