Sheriff’s Homicide Investigating After Body Found on Highway 138

CAJON PASS, Calif (VVNG.com) The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail has launched an investigation after an adult male was found deceased Thursday morning.
At approximately 7:11 a.m. on March 16, 2017, a commuter traveling through the area spotted a man’s body lying 50 feet off the side of Highway 138 about 1 mile east of the 15 Freeway.
“The commuter contacted dispatch and when deputies arrived they located a deceased Hispanic male adult”, Sheriff’s officials said.
Detectives said they found no obvious sign of trauma to the body and will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The discovery prompted a closure of the Highway for several hours while detectives investigated.
The Coroner’s office has not released the name of the deceased pending positive identification and proper notification of the next of kin.
