YUCAIPA– (VVNG.com): A 72-year-old mother who lives with her 35-year-old developmentally disabled son in a vehicle at a Yucaipa Park-n-Ride was given a little relief arranged by local deputies. On Christmas morning, the deputies pitched in to assist this deserving twosome who were living on Hampton Ave. and Yucaipa Blvd.
The deputies paid for four days at the Yu-Cal Motel and provided meals for them at the Denny’s Restaurant. Local businesses including, Yu-Cal Motel, McDonalds, Vons, Denny’s, and even private citizens donated gift cards and money for the couple during the day.
Although it was only a short reprieve from their current situation, it provided a chance for both to enjoy hot showers, suitable shelter and hot meals during the Christmas holiday.
