HESPERIA, Calif. ( — The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dive Team are conducting training exercises in the water of aqueduct along US Highway 395 here Friday.

Sheriff’s officials said, the Dive Team will be seen removing vehicles from the aqueduct and practicing how to maneuver in swift waters. This will allow for deputies to have better experience when dealing with emergency situations.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Bachman told Victor Valley News, officials have located several vehicles in the aqueduct and will be removing them.

According to an earlier tweet from Bachman, officials recovered a vehicle from an accident in February.

“A very lucky young man survived when his car plunged into the aqueduct; today he witnessed his car being recovered,” Bachman tweeted out.
