Sex Offender Compliance Operation Conducted

(VVNG.com) – On Thursday, May 22, 2014, the Highland Sheriff’s Station hosted a Sex Offender Compliance Operation.

Deputies from the Highland and Central Stations of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department conducted compliance checks of 63 registered sex offenders who reside within the City of Loma Linda, City of Grand Terrace, & City of Highland.

This operation served as a follow-up to a previous compliance check operation conducted on April 12th, 2014. The subjects contacted during this operation were subjects who were not home on April 12th, 2014.

These compliance checks included verifying the home address of each registered sex offender, and conducting parole & probation searches of those individuals who are on active Felony Probation or Parole.

As a result of these compliance checks, it was found that 6 registrants were out of compliance and had moved from their last registered address. A criminal investigation is being conducted into their current whereabouts.

Twenty-five subjects were contacted and found to be in compliance with their Sex Offender Registration, and 32 subjects were again not at home at the time of the contact.

No arrests were made.

The Sheriff’s Department will continue to monitor and conduct random compliance checks of each of these registered sex offenders.
