Several People Pepper-Sprayed During T-Mobile Robbery In Victorville; Suspect Remains At Large

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are searching for an armed robbery suspect after several people were pepper-sprayed during a robbery at a T-Mobile store Tuesday afternoon in Victorville.

The robbery was reported at about 3:49 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2026, at the cell phone store located in the 14700 block of La Paz Drive, inside the Food 4 Less shopping center.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jenny Smith, an unidentified Black male with a thin build entered the store armed with what appeared to be a handgun and carrying pepper spray.

The suspect then ordered everyone inside the store to “remove their cellular telephones and wallets from their pockets and place them on the floor in the center of the store,” Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenny Smith said.

During the robbery, one of the victims fled the business, prompting the suspect to briefly pursue the victim before stopping after exiting the store.

Several victims were exposed to pepper spray during the incident. Outside the business, employees were seen using milk from a gallon jug to rinse their eyes after being exposed to the spray. Everyone declined medical attention.

Smith said the suspect fled northbound toward Plaza Drive and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves, light-colored jeans, and orange gloves.
