Several Injured As Gunshots Rang Out During Saturday Night Party

APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): Just after midnight on Sunday, February 14th deputies from the Apple Valley station responded to a fight involving around thirty people according to witness reports. As deputies were enroute to the fight on the 12300 block of Pocono Road, multiple reports of shots fired followed.

The reports indicated that around five or six shots were fired, people were screaming and a vehicle was heard leaving the scene. Upon arrival deputies located a male victim that was hit in the head with a bottle and sustained head injuries. Medical personnel was called to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported to deputies that at least two others, who did not remain on scene, were suffering from gunshot wounds.

Minutes later near Pocono Road and Red Hawk, an 18-year-old man was located with gunshot wounds to both legs. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. A second gunshot victim was located at Desert Valley Hospital, along with several other subjects who were also involved in the fight. One juvenile male patient was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The severity of the injuries are unknown at this time, but none are believed to be life-threatening in nature. Deputies remained on scene for several hours after the incident to conduct a thorough investigation. It is unknown if any arrest have been made, information will be updated as it becomes available.
