Seven Graduates Celebrate Success in SBC Probation’s Mobile Welding Program in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif (VVNG.com) – On February 19, 2025, the San Bernardino County Probation Department proudly celebrated the graduation of seven individuals who successfully completed the Mobile Welding Program at the Victorville Day Reporting Center.
This milestone not only marks the end of their five-week training but also signifies the beginning of new career opportunities in the welding and metal fabrication industries.
The Mobile Welding Program equips participants with the skills needed to obtain certification through the American Welding Society (AWS). For these graduates, this achievement is more than just a piece of paper—it’s a life-changing opportunity.
With this certification, they are now eligible to pursue welding jobs across a variety of fields, including underwater welding, metal fabrication, and construction.
The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential welding techniques, metal theory, and equipment handling.
Graduates learn about the various types of metals and the compatibility of different materials, which are crucial for success in the welding industry.
The Mobile Welding Program is part of the San Bernardino County Probation Department’s ongoing effort to provide education and job training to individuals in the probation system.
By offering practical skills that directly lead to employment, the department aims to support successful reintegration into the workforce and reduce recidivism.
“This is a prime example of how probation can lead to positive change,” said a representative from the San Bernardino County Probation Department. “Our goal is to provide individuals with the tools they need to succeed, whether it’s through welding or any other hands-on training we offer at the Day Reporting Centers.”
With a strong focus on preparing participants for the workforce, the Mobile Welding Program continues to serve as a stepping stone for those seeking to turn their lives around and build a brighter future.
The Victorville and San Bernardino Day Reporting Centers remain dedicated to providing similar programs that offer valuable skills and career-building opportunities for individuals committed to their personal growth and success.
