NIPTON:(VVNG.com)- According to CHP incident logs, a Swift tractor-trailer struck a guard rail on the right hand shoulder of the freeway and turned on its side. The semi landed in a ditch and partially on a guard rail.
The incident occurred on the southbound 15 freeway at mile marker 146 south of Halloran Springs at 6:44 P.M., on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
The 53 ft. trailer is carrying 43,000 lbs. of candy bars. A heavy super duty tow-truck has been requested to remove the 3 axel tractor-trailer from a 10 ft ditch.
Per scanner traffic, County Hazmat has been requested to respond due to a fuel spill with potential of 50 gallons spilling into a creek.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. No lanes are currently being affected by the incident.
