Semi Exits Freeway and Crashes into Barstow Subway Restaurant

BARSTOW-(VVNG.com): At about 9:24 p.m. on Monday, November 30th a semi tractor-trailer exited the I-15 north at the Barstow road exit, continued on over the bridge, down the embankment and into the side of a Subway Restaurant.
The restaurant located at 921 Barstow Road closed at 9:00 p.m., but employees were still at the location at the time of the crash.
The semi tractor-trailer was reported, per CHP logs to be carrying 70,000 pounds of wine at the time of the collision. No store employees were injured as a result of the collision, it is unknown at this time if the driver of the truck sustained any injuries.
Store employees report that the Subway Restaurant and Jumpin’ Juice and Java will be closed until further notice.
