Semi Collides into Small Vehicle on Highway 18

PHELAN:(VVNG.com)- A collision involving a small sedan and a semi was reported on Highway 18 approximately 3 miles west of Sheep Creek Road.
Per CHP incident logs, the collision was reported at 1:03 P.M., on Thursday, April 16, 2015.
When first responders arrived they located a semi registered to Mercedes Trucking on the right shoulder and one vehicle on its roof.
According to officer Michael Fernandez with the Victorville CHP office, A blue Metro was turning southbound on Pansy Road from highway 18 going westbound to southbound. The semi was attempting to pass, unfortunately the big-rig didn’t see the vehicle turning southbound and clipped it. Causing the Metro to spin out, flip over, and land in the desert.
According to witnesses, the occupants of the sedan, including a small child and a female driver were able to exit the upside down vehicle. Thankfully no injuries were reported, only complaint of pain and some property damage.
