Sedan catches fire on NB-15 freeway in the cajon pass Tuesday afternoon

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the northbound 15 freeway, just north of Kenwood Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle fire was reported at 3:51 pm, and involved a red sedan stopped on the right shoulder with smoke coming from underneath the hood.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, a U.S. Forest Service fire truck pulled-up to the incident and worked on putting out the fire.

A woman and small child were seen standing away from the vehicle. The incident blocked the slow lane temporarily.

No injuries were reported and the fire did not spread to vegetation.
