VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A school bus with children on board was involved in a traffic collision Wednesday afternoon in Victorville.
The crash was reported at about 4:07 pm, on January 17, 2024, on Bear Valley Road near Mesa View Drive/Monte Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, the bus driver advised that one student was hit and the head and possibly required medical assistance.
Zaida S. Kemple, a member of the Victor Valley News Group on Facebook, commented on a post and said her daughter was on the bus coming from Quail Valley Middle School.
Zaida said when the two cars collided one of them went under the bus. She also confirmed that the students and both drivers were not injured.
VVNG member, Stacy Fontano said a traffic signal light would be good and speed bumps would be fantastic at the intersection. “Too many people drive down the street going 65-70. Running the stop sign. Whatever happened to residential 25 miles mph? It’s not a freeway!”, she commented.
At least one tow truck was requested for the white Toyota Camry with major front-end damage.
The cause of the collision is being handled by the Victorville CHP station.
