HINKLEY:(VVNG.com)- Per scanner traffic, a sheriff’s helicopter assisting in the search for a missing person out of Barstow located a body in a wash at approximately 11:30 A.M., on Friday, July 10, 2015.
The body was located just east of Hinkley Road and Iron Mountain Road in Hinkley.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner has been requested to respond to the location.
At this time the identity or gender of the deceased is unknown.
Detectives have been actively searching for a 47-year-old woman reported missing from Barstow on July 2nd. The woman named, Evangeline “Vangie” Chavez was last seen at a family gathering on June 28, 2015. According to family, Vangie was very distraught following the death of her father on June 25, 2015.
