SB I-15 closures at Hwy 395 planned to start Tuesday night

HESPERIA, Calif. — Caltrans announced tentative closures of southbound Interstate 15 at Highway 395 in Hesperia starting tonight, Tuesday to make emergency repairs to the Highway 395 overcrossing.

The Route 395 connector from northbound I-15 began to deteriorate late Friday, December 13, resulting in the full closure of the connector.  The Route 395 connector from northbound I-15 remains closed until repairs are completed.

The contractor will require some lane and full closures of southbound I-15 this to expedite repairs to demolish the bridge deck.

The closures are still tentative; however, Caltrans is alerting the public in advance, so motorists can prepare before the final approval. Following is the schedule of TENTATIVE closures:

Tuesday, December 17: Close two of four lanes on southbound I-15 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (tentative work hours).

Wednesday, December 18: FULL CLOSURE of southbound I-15 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (tentative work hours).

Thursday, December 19: FULL CLOSURE of southbound I-15 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (tentative work hours).

Friday, December 20: Close two of four lanes of southbound I-15 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (tentative work hours).

The detour for the southbound I-15 full closure is Joshua Street off ramp to Route 395 back to I-15 north and southbound.
