UPDATE @ 1:40 PM – The Victorville CHP is reporting that southbound I-15 at Ranchero Road is re-opened. The #3 and #4 lanes are still currently closed near the collision scene.
UPDATE @11:30 AM – According to Caltrans the no.1 & 2 lanes have reopened on the southbound I-15 freeway. The 3-4 lanes will continue to remain closed for an unknown duration as officials continue to clear the roadway. A total of 25 vehicles including semis were involved in the pileup. Speed and fog are reported to be contributing factors.
UPDATE @ 9:48 AM – The final patient count is 6 delayed and 3 transported. According to a tweet from SB County Fire, weather is a contributing factor in this crash and majority of patients declined medical transport.
CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A pile-up crash on the southbound I-15 has prompted authorities to shutdown the freeway Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, at about 9:28 am, 19 vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle traffic accident on the SB-15 between Oak Hill and Highway 138.
San Bernardino County Firefighters have declared this as an MCI response and are treating 35 people. Five are reported to have minor injuries and 12 others reported no injuries.
At this time it’s unknown how long the I-15 will remain closed at Oak Hill Road.
