CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com)- Motorist traveling through the Cajon Pass on this President’s Day holiday are being advised to expect delays.
At about 3:25 p.m., Caltrans District 8 sent out a tweet advising motorist about extreme delays on the southbound I-15 freeway. “Avoid travel until later tonight if possible, said the tweet.
The southbound backup starts just after Main Street exit and continues bumper to bumper all the way down till about the 15/215 split.
There are reports of light/moderate fog near the top of the Cajon Pass.
As of 3:40 p.m., northbound traffic is flowing, however, Caltrans expects an increased volume in traffic.
Motorist are reporting a mattress in the no. 3 lane on the NB I-15 just before Cleghorn Road.

-SR-138 westbound remains open from I-15
-SR-138 from Summit Valley to Wagon Train is closed
