BREAKING NEWS : Shooting at Santa Monica College
Here’s what we know so far:
The shooting is believed to have started at a Santa Monica home. After the gunman left, the house was set on fire and two bodies were located inside.
A short distance away a woman was carjacked and drove a short distance. The gunman exited the car and began shooting multiple rounds at a city bus. He then continued onto Santa Monica City College where he made entry into the library and shot some people there.
-Four people are confirmed dead.
-UCLA Santa Monica received 3 patients with minor injuries and are all doing well.
-The campus remained on lock down as of 2:30 p.m.
-The shooter possibly used a semi automatic rifle such as an AR-15 and a shot gun. Several eyewitnesses reported seeing the shooter carrying multiple guns.
-President Obama was in the City of Santa Monica during the time of the shooting less than 2 miles away. The president was never in any danger.
PER CHP: One suspect in custody no name or description released. An official press release is scheduled between 3:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Unconfirmed eyewitness reports state the gunman has been described as dressed in all black and was seen laying on the sidewalk. This information is unconfirmed.
