San Jacinto Man Leads Hesperia Deputies on a Pursuit

HESPERIA:(VVNG.com)- A San Jacinto man who led deputies on a pursuit through the city of Hesperia was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at approximately 11:01 a.m., Deputy LaFond of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station attempted a traffic stop of a Hyundai in the area of Hesperia Road and Eucalyptus Street in the City of Hesperia.
The driver, later identified as Angel Villanueva, 34, failed to yield and fled southbound Hesperia Road at unsafe speeds and passing other vehicles in the center divider.
Villanueva eventually stopped near the intersection of Lime Steet and Hesperia Road.
Deputies recovered a baggie that was thrown from the suspect vehicle during the pursuit. The baggie contained a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Inside the vehicle, mason jars containing suspected marijuana along with other drug paraphernalia were recovered.
Angel Villanueva was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of VC2800.2 – felony evading and H&S11379 – sale or transportation of a controlled substance.
According to public court records, Villanueva is currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. He’s scheduled to appear in a Victorville courtroom on Friday, July 15th at 12:30 p.m.
