San Bernardino Man charged with sexual abuse of 4 children

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies arrested a man charged with sexually abusing four children when they were 7 to 11 years old and investigators believe there are other victims, officials said.

On January 2, 2019, Deputy E. Fakhoury responded to a call regarding allegations of sexual abuse to an 11-year-old female by the suspect Guillermo Sanchez, 57, a resident of San Bernardino.

The case was forwarded to Deputy B. Ortiz with the Central Station’s dedicate Child and Adult Protective Services unit.

According to a sheriff’s news release, “Further investigation identified four victims in the case that were abused from ages 7 to 11 years of age. Evidence was found that the suspect had for a period of several years molested several children at three separate locations.”

Officials said evidence was also found of sexual abuse to children that are now adults.

Gomez-Sanchez was interviewed by deputies and subsequently arrested in the 2600 block of San Anjelmo in San Bernardino. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and charged with PC288.5(A) Continued Sexual Abuse of a Child and his bail is set at $350,000, according to booking logs.
