VICTORVILLE – (VVNG.com)- San Bernardino County Fire Department Explorer program trains the youth in San Bernardino County ages 14 years old to 21 years of age. Explorers are required to maintain a sufficient grade point average and be dedicated to participating in drills, fundraisers as well as training. The explorers attend academies and twice per month attend drills, on a regular basis practice the skill they have learned as well as assist firefighters in certain emergencies using the skills that they have learned. Many of these young men and women move on to become firefighters, paramedics, emergency technicians or other rescue personnel.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Explorers ask that you attend and test-ride a vehicle at the “Heroes Night Out, a test-ride fundraising event. The event will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. The three-hour event will be held at Victorville Motors at 14617 Civic Dr Victorville, CA.
This exciting fundraising event only requires that you stop by and test drive a vehicle, so you can bring all drivers in your family to help raise funds for the youth in the Phelan and Hesperia Explorer posts. For each test-ride Victorville Motors will donate $30 on your behalf towards the required funds needed to send the Explorers to Academy. The Explorers need the community to come together in order to help make this event a great success for these young men and women.
