San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department To Host Free Teen Human-Trafficking Awareness Talk Aug. 22
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is inviting parents and teens to attend a free Teen Human-Trafficking Awareness Talk later this month aimed at educating families about the dangers of human trafficking, online grooming, and exploitation.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Sheriff’s Headquarters, 655 E. 3rd Street in San Bernardino.
The free presentation will feature guest speakers who will discuss the dangers of human trafficking, grooming, and online activity. Organizers encourage parents or guardians to attend alongside their teenagers.
The event will focus on:
- Learning to identify the signs of human trafficking.
- Understanding how traffickers target and groom victims.
- Learning ways to protect yourself and your children.
The Sheriff’s Department emphasizes that “Education is the first step to end human trafficking!” and is encouraging community members to “Join the fight to end human trafficking!”
