HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A rollover traffic collision temporarily blocked part of Escondido Avenue after a vehicle flipped and struck a light pole Friday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. on January 23, 2026, just south of the shopping center known as the Marketplace in the City of Hesperia.
A silver SUV sustained major damage after overturning and coming to rest on its roof, partially on the sidewalk and raised center median.
A concrete light pole was sheared off at its base and lay across the sidewalk.
Employees with Southern California Edison responded to conduct repairs. As a result, one northbound lane of Escondido Avenue was blocked off with cones and caution tape while crews worked to replace the damaged infrastructure.
Despite the severity of the crash, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Hesperia Police Department.
