On April 11, 2014, at 12:25 AM, officers of the California Highway Patrol were sent to the area of the Interstate 15, south of Outlet Center Dive, Barstow, for the report of a single vehicle accident.
Upon arrival they found that a white Chevrolet sedan had been traveling southbound on the Interstate 15 in the number two lane, when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and struck the center median and rolled an undetermined number of times.
The driver, a white female and sole occupant of the vehicle, was declared dead on scene by Barstow Fire Department personnel.
The name of the decedent is being withheld pending a positive identification and notification of next of kin. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
