Today over 1000 people gathered at Horsemen’s Center Park in Apple Valley near Highway 18 for a mud run event that benefited a good cause.

The course featured over eighteen wild obstacles that included water filled trenches including an “ice bath”– an above ground pool of ice water– that the daring participants had to climb through.

For those who registered early individual tickets were $50 and for tickets purchased the day of the event the cost increased to $70 per ticket. The price per ticket was reduced with groups of 3 or more.

100% of Proceeds collected will benefit the Victor Valley College Foundation and the Sunset Hills Children Foundation.

According to the event’s website opportunities are given in the form of awarding scholarships, increasing access to college programs, funding life-changing educational experiences and enhancing the relevance of workforce training programs in our community.

Participant Klaudia Leal had an awesome time in Saturday’s event, “So much fun! Ended last year with 3rd place for the female team. Hoping I ranked in age group this time around. 3rd year! Great experience!” commented participant Klaudia Leal.
