VICTORVILLE: On Monday, April 7th, 2014, at approximately 1:47 a.m., Victorville Deputies were dispatched to a report of an unknown injury vehicle collision on National Trails Hwy, between the I-15 fwy and Air Expressway in the City of Victorville.
When deputies arrived, they found the unknown male lying unconscious in the roadway. The male’s motorcycle was lying in the roadway over 200 feet from him. The male was transported to a local trauma center with a severe head injury. There were no witnesses to the collision found at the scene. At this time it does not appear that any other vehicles were involved. National Trails Hwy was closed to traffic in both directions in the area of the collision until approximately 6:29 a.m.
Sheriff Deputies are still investigating if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision.
This is an ongoing investigation by the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Deputies are looking to interview anyone who may have witnessed this collision occur. Anyone with information about the collision is requested to contact Deputy Ortiz at 760-241-2911.
