Rider airlifted following a crash on Ranchero Road in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A motorcycle rider was airlifted from a crash Monday night in Hesperia.

The crash happened at 7:58 p.m. on Ranchero Road and Escondido Avenue on March 4, 2024.

Emergency workers with the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived on the scene and located a 2019 Harley-Davidson Road King with significant damage and the male rider suffering from critical injuries.

As a result of the rider’s injuries, an Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipped helicopter was requested to the scene to transport the rider to a trauma center.

Several vehicles were stopped around the scene, and it was not immediately clear which vehicle was involved.

A High Desert 4×4 Recovery community member assisted with diverting traffic away from the crash scene until law enforcement arrived.

This was the second major injury motorcycle crash reported in the City of Hesperia today. A motorcycle rider was critically injured earlier when a suspected DUI driver turned left in front of him on Mariposa Road, according to a previous VVNG article.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol – Victorville Station.
