Rialto man arrested after intentionally crashing into car and killing 2 women

RIALTO, Calif. ( — Police arrested a 40-year-old Rialto man on two counts of murder after he intentionally rear-ended a vehicle, killing two innocent people.

It happened on July 6, 2019 at about 9:30 pm in the area of Foothill Blvd. and Spruce Ave. in the City of Rialto.

Officers from the Rialto Police Department and paramedics from the Rialto Fire Department responded to the traffic collision and found a deceased female lying in the roadway and another deceased female inside a silver Hyundai Sonata, officials said.

The Rialto Police Department’s Detective Bureau and Major Accident Investigation Team responded to conduct the investigation.

“Through witness statements and roadway evidence, it was found that Jesse Neaves was driving a grey Lexus ES350 in the #3 eastbound lane of Foothill Blvd. toward the red signal at Spruce Ave at a high rate of speed.  The two unidentified female victims were the sole occupants of a silver Hyundai Sonata that was stopped at a red signal in the #3 eastbound lane of Foothill Blvd. at Spruce Ave.  Neaves continued eastbound and without attempting to turn or brake, intentionally rear ended the Hyundai at speeds in excess of 70 mph.  The subsequent impact caused the death of the two female occupants in the Hyundai,” officials said in a news release.

Neaves and his three passengers were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.

Neaves was arrested for two counts of murder and will be booked into West Valley Detention Center once he is discharged from the hospital.
