Rain and fog in the Cajon Pass on Sunday

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Motorists traveling through the Cajon Pass Sunday morning are experiencing heavy fog conditions near the summit.

The Caltrans traffic cams are showing wet roadways near Highway 138 and reduced visibility near Oak Hills Road.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), showers will be on and off again throughout the day on Sunday.

The NWS also issued a winter weather advisory for Sunday through Monday for the San Bernardino mountains. Snow accumulations will mostly be confined to elevations above 4,000-4,500 FT.

The agency said light accumulations may impact the Cajon Pass late Sunday.

As of 9:00 am there were currently no accidents or restrictions to report.

Remember low beam headlights should be used in fog, rain, and snow. The light from high beams will reflect back to the driver under these weather conditions.
