VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- San Bernardino County Sheriff’s are investigating an officer involved shooting that left a 34-year-old Victorville man injured after Federal Agents served a search warrant.
On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at approximately 5:30 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to a residence in the 12500 block of Sunny Vista Avenue, in Victorville, following the report of a shooting.
According to a press release, upon arrival, deputies learned that agents from the U.S. Department of Justice – Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm (ATF), U.S. Department of Homeland Security and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were serving a search warrant at that location when an officer involved shooting occurred.
During the shooting, Arnulfo Hernandez from Victorville was shot and transported to a local hospital. He was listed in stable condition.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s were not involved with the shooting. The Sheriff’s Homicide Detail was requested to conduct an investigation and at this time the investigation is ongoing.
State and Federal agents simultaneously served three search warrants in Apple Valley, Hesperia and Victorville. No further details on the reason behind the raids were available as of Tuesday evening.
