Public’s Help Needed to Identify Suspect in Brazen Jean Theft

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): The owner of Hi-Desert Shoes and Apparel #2 is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect that left of the store with unpaid merchandise on Thursday afternoon. At around 2:30 p.m. the unidentified Hispanic man walked into the store that is located in the 16900 block of Main Street.
“Our employee asked if he needed help and he said that he was just looking around. Right when he saw our employee busy ringing up another customer he acted like he was looking at the shoes and he walked out of the store really fast, then started running,” said store owner, Esam Haddad.
The suspect, according to Haddad left the store with 3 pairs of Levi’s 501 jeans that cost $49.99 each. The employee ran out of the store attempting to catch him, but the suspect got away fleeing on foot. The suspect is described as having brown hair and eyes, a ponytail, he is about 5’5” tall and he was wearing a black t-shirt, a black beanie and grey sweatpants.
