Public tips lead to female suspects arrest in golf cart theft

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Sheriff’s officials announced the female suspect sought in the theft of a golf cart was arrested thanks to tips from the public.

The suspect, Allison Pope, 39, of Hesperia was arrested by Hesperia deputies on September 14th after she was located at a residence in the 13000 block of Napa Court.

officials said Pope was taken into custody without incident and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for grand theft.

“We would like to thank the citizens that called and posted information on social media that led to the arrest of the suspect,” stated sheriff’s officials in a news release.

Police are continuing to search for the male suspect described as a white, approximately 20-25 years old, 5’7”-5’9” tall and 170 pounds. He had light brown hair, shaved very short and a short beard. He was wearing a dark-colored, long sleeve shirt.

The stolen golf cart has not been recovered and deputies ask that anyone with information on its whereabouts, contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
