
UPDATE 8/14 @ 12pm – The USGS downsized the quake to a 3.2 magnitude.
RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. (VVNG.com) A preliminary 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck the mountain community of Running Springs early Monday morning.
According to the USGS website, at 4:11 am, on August 14th the quake hit 6.2 miles north-northeast of Running Springs and 8.1 miles east-northeast of Lake Arrowhead.
Many Victor Valley News Group members in Lucerne Valley, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville and Adelanto have reported feeling the quake described as a “quick jolt”.
So far, no injuries or damages have been reported as a result of the quake.
