(VVNG) – An upper level low pressure system over Nevada will retrograde and dig southward over Southern California over the next 24 hours.
As a result isolated showers may develop over the mountains and upper deserts this afternoon with an increasing chance tonight.
Thunderstorms will develop over the mountains and inland areas on Thursday, as the center of low pressure moves directly overhead.
Possible hazards from these storms include dangerous lightning, brief heavy rain, small hail, wet and slippery roadways, and gusty winds.
