Possible Missing Plane Near Baker

BAKER:(VVNG.com)- Authorities are searching for a small fixed wing single engine airplane that lost radio contact at approximately 10:00 P.M., on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

According to the aircraft’s N-number 999CJ, the plane is a 1968 Beech 36 Bonanza and reported to have white, yellow and red stripes. The small plane seats 6 and has 1 engine.

Per scanner traffic, all radio contact was lost in the mountain range a couple of miles north-east of Baker, CA paralleling the interstate 15 freeway.

At this time it’s unclear how many people are on board and what airport the flight originated from. The aircraft was reportedly heading to Henderson Nevada.

Deputies searched the Dagget airport hanger and it checked negative. A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s aviation unit is assisting with the search for the aircraft.
