Police: Man Shot During Road-Rage Incident in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com)- A road rage incident between two motorists in the city of Hesperia resulted in multiple shots fired Friday night.
On February 3, 2017 at approximately 7:25 p.m. Deputies with the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the area of I Avenue and Danbury Street for reports of a drive-by shooting.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the victim, Juan Gutierrez, 48, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Through investigation, it was learned that Gutierrez and the unidentified suspect were in a road rage incident that started in the area of Main Street and I Avenue.
Both parties drove southbound on I Avenue to the intersection of Danbury Street where Gutierrez stopped and exited his vehicle to make contact with the suspect.
The suspect brandished a gun and fired multiple times at Gutierrez. The suspect, described by the victim as a white male adult, approximately 5’6” and 220 pounds, short hair with a goatee wearing dark clothing, fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark color SUV type vehicle, last known direction of travel was eastbound on Danbury
The victim, Gutierrez was transported to a trauma center to be treated for his injuries.
