Police searching for suspect who shot and killed a man on 6th Street in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. ( — Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for murdering a 38-year-old Victorville man.

The victim, Terrell Gant was shot one time in the face outside a duplex in the 15400 block of Sixth Street in Victorville on June 13, 2018.

At about 7:56 pm, Victorville deputies responded to the area and located Terrell Gant unresponsive on the ground. Deputies and emergency medical personnel administered life-saving measures at the scene.

Grant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and subsequently airlifted to a nearby trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries on June 18th, officials said.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail have assumed the investigation and are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect wanted for murder.

Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 18-20 years old, thin build and approximately 5’10” tall. He was wearing a white shirt and dark-colored pants or long shorts, a blue bandana, and a hat. The suspect may have left the scene in a dark-colored compact sedan, occupied by several other people.

The investigation is ongoing, the motive for the shooting is unknown and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
