Police searching for suspect after pursuit on a stolen motorcycle in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are searching for a motorcyslist who led police on a high-speed pursuit and managed to escape after ditching the stolen bike, officials said.
It happened at about 4:00 pm on Sunday afternoon when deputies attempted to make a traffic stop in a motorcycle in the Hesperia Walmart patking lot in the 13400 block of of Main Street.
Sheriff’s spokesperson Taylor Reynolds said the suspect fled on the motorcycle onto southbound Escondido Avenue, ran multiple red lights, and reached speeds up to about 85 miles per hour.
The suspect abandoned the motorcycle on Larch Road and fled on foot.
Reynolds said, the suspect was able to elude deputies and is outstanding. The motorcycle was found to be stolen out of Placentia.
Deputies are still actively working the investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Hesperia Police Depaermtne at 760-947-1500.
