ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — An Adelanto mother is desperately searching for her missing 11-year-old daughter.
Lynette Bautista was last seen at about 5:30 pm, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, near the intersection of Christopher and Spring Streets, just north of Mojave Drive-in Adelanto.
Vickie Pena, the mom, said her daughter was last seen talking to a boy at the corner and she has no idea where she went from there.
According to Vickie, her daughter is a 6th grader at Harold George Visual and Performing Arts Magnet & Middle School and she rode the bus back home after school.
Lynette said she contacted the Adelanto Police Department to file a missing person. Deputies showed up at her residence at about 9:45 pm, to take down the information.
“When the deputy asked me to sign a form asking for my consent to identify her using dental records, I couldn’t process what was happening,” said Vickie.
Lynette is described as a Hispanic female about 4 feet 7 inches tall, 80 lbs., and was last seen wearing her navy blue school uniform shirt, black Batman sweats, and black Fila tennis shoes.
“She’s never done anything like this before and I’m worried sick. I just want my baby to come back home,” said Vickie as she fought back her tears.
Deputies immediately began a search of the immediate area in around her neighborhood. Sheriff’s aviation has been assisting deputies on the ground with an aerial search; a K9 unit has also been searching the area.
