Victorville police searching for beer bandits who assaulted a security guard

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Police need the public’s help in identifying a couple of beer bandits who assaulted a security guard, officials said.

It happened on July 30, 2019, at the Stater Brothers Market in the 13700 block of Bear Valley Road in Victorville.

Sheriff’s officials said the unidentified couple entered the business and placed several cases of beer into a shopping cart. The male pushed the cart as the female carried another case of beer.

“The two suspects walked towards the exit, passed the checkout lanes, and began to leave the store without paying for the beer. A security guard attempted to stop them and was punched in the face by the male suspect,” stated sheriff’s officials.

The suspects ran from the store with one case of beer, leaving the basket behind.

Police are attempting to identify the suspects in the video surveillance photos. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy D. Moreno or Deputy Z. Pritchett at the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001.
